ZONES

GO SLOW IN WAKELESS ZONES - 5 MPH AND UNDER
WAKELESS BUOYS WILL BE POSTED AT EACH END OF A WAKELESS ZONES

An ideal wakeless speed is just an idle in forward gear without any throttle. 
 
SPEED AND PROXIMITY: The operator of a vessel may not exceed a wakeless speed (not to exceed 5mph) when: In an area designated as a wakeless speed area. Within 150' of: Another vessel; a person floating in or on the water; a water skier being towed by another boat; a shore fisherman; a launching ramp; a dock; or a designated swimming area.  

The term “wake” means a movement of the water created by a watercraft underway, great enough to disturb a boat at rest, but under no circumstances shall a boat underway exceed five (5) miles per hour while in a posted wakeless area.
